Universe On Stage returns with the JPO to present The Black Hole Symphony.
Universe on Stage returns after a sold-out season to present The Black Hole Symphony – their most ambitious performance yet, in collaboration with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
They’ve performed for more than 20,000 people across South Africa, selling out over 30 shows, including the Joburg Theatre and a special collaboration with the Joburg Ballet.
The Black Hole Symphony blends live orchestral music, science, and storytelling – actuary and pianist-composer Yash performs a six-movement symphonic suite inspired by the mysteries of black holes, with PhD physicist Luca guides audiences through the cosmos with captivating narration.
Featuring breathtaking visuals, fan-favourite musical moments, and an original score newly reimagined for full string ensemble, this landmark production transforms complex astrophysics into an emotional, immersive live experience – bold, cinematic, and unforgettable. It’s science in symphony
