2011 saw the JPO collaborate with the popular act, Die Antwoord, at the South African Music Awards.

In addition to the symphony concerts, the JPO has performed:

• Queen: The Concert
• The Jo’burg Pops concerts
• The Jacaranda Pops concerts
• ‘La Traviata’ and ‘La Boheme’ for Opera Africa
• ‘Carmina Burana’ for the German Government’s celebration of 10 years of democracy in South Africa
• ‘Faure’s Requiem’ for RAU
• The ‘Marriage Of Figaro’ at the State Theatre, Pretoria.
